I have always been a creative person. I originally taught myself how to scrapbook and make cards from online videos. In middle school, I started my own business making various paper crafts and also made tutorials online.
I did that for a while, and while doing that, found out I had a passion for Interior Design. Watching HGTV, I dreamed of one day having my own show revolving around design. Due to my interest, in high school I took a few Interior Design courses which confirmed the path I wanted to head down.
I was also introduced to environmental science in high school which fascinated me immensely. I knew after learning so much about the planet, that I wanted to integrate environmental into design. It became clear to me sustainable and eco-friendly designs could make a big difference.
During my Interior Design education in college, I was introduced to Graphic Design. Upon this introduction, new skills were developed as I then found a love for creating things like logos and email blasts. This especially came into use when I began working as a graphic designer at a photography and event planning company.
Since then, I have began working at my dream job at ALX Interiors, assisting the interior designer and working with her to create projects and see them come from concept to reality.
